Artist Biography
Barbara Thayer Zaring (b. 1947) is active/lives in New Mexico. Barbara Zaring is known for Landscape, mod imagery, still life. From her studio in Taos, New Mexico where she became a resident in 1973, Barbara Zaring paints bold, color-filled landscapes. Her work is influenced by Kandinsky, Van Gogh and German Expressionism, and she likes to paint large scale views. A favorite subject is Canyon de Chelly.
