Contemporary colorful abstract painted plaster wall sculpture by local Houston artist Erika Whitney. Currently featured in the show "Septet" at Reeves Art + Design in Houston, TX. Signed, titled, and dated on reverse.

Artist Biography

Erika Whitney is a Houston based artist. Whitney received her MFA in painting from the University of Houston and a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Texas at Tyler. Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions in Houston at HCC Northline (current), Front Gallery, and BS Projects, along with recent group exhibitions at Galveston Art Center, Dodomu Gallery, Brooklyn, NY, Barbara Davis Gallery, The Big Show at Lawndale Art Center, and New Texas Talent at Craighead Green Gallery, Dallas, TX. Whitney was a recent resident at the Sam and Adele Golden Foundation residency. Whitney is an instructor at Sam Houston State University, Art League Houston, and Houston Community College. Her studio is in her home in Oak Forest where she lives with her Partner, James and three dogs Zooey, Calvin, and Rigby.
