Pastel toned desert landscape scene of the Arizona wilderness featuring cacti, natural brush, and a far off mountain range. Signed in the lower right corner as well as on the tag on the reverse. Hung in a complimentary dark wood frame with a cream matte.

Artist Biography

Born May 17, 1890 in Scotland, A.D. Macintyre served as a Captain with the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders in Scotland during World War II. He then lived in Phoenix, AZ for the last 19 years of his life. During this time, he was the manager of Hassayampa Mountain Club in Prescott, AZ. He became well known for painting desert landscapes. Argyll passed away in 1953.
