Artist Biography

Axel Eugene Schar, originally from Norway, settled in Duluth, Minnesota and started the Duluth Art Association. Schar studied with Fritz Thaulow in Minneapolis. Later in his life he settled in Worthington, Minnesota and became active in the art community there. He is known for painting landscape paitnings.
