Alika Herrshoff is an artist who is best known for his bold colors and graphic flatness. Born in Hawaii, his family relocated to the Seattle area in 1989. It was within the context of the Pacific Northwest independent music scene in the 90’s that inspired his interest in art. In the early 2000's, Herreshoff was a member of Dearraindrop, an art collective that was based at that time in Virginia Beach. He worked alongside the other members to create works with different forms of media, using an aesthetic he describes as "a tidal wave of psychedelic and cartoon imagery." While he traveled extensively, he was often drawn back to Texas. In the mid 2010’s his work was featured in multiple shows in spaces such as Ware:Wolf:Haus, RE Gallery, and Pablo Cardoza Gallery.
