Blue, white, red, and gold contemporary surrealist painting by Houston, TX artist Scott Woodard. The painting depicts a face with a collage cut out of the chin area and two eyes both framed in a small, intricate oval gold frame. The collaged pieces are pasted against a plain light blue background with three white lines at the top and an accent red teardrop shape. Signed, titled, and dated by the artist at the back. Framed in a beautiful wooden frame.

Artist Biography

Scott Woodard is a local Houston, TX artist who has exhibited in a variety of Houston galleries since 2007. He was a regular at the annual Dia de los Muertos exhibit put on by the Lawndale Art Center through the mid to late 2000s. While his work had been focused on sepia tones, he has recently taken his art in a new direction exploring pastel surrealist landscapes.
