Jonathan Gent was born in 1976 in a Cheshire pub. He studied art at The Cheshire School of Art and The Edinburgh School of Art before living between France and Los Angeles. He makes painting and drawing which present an inventive, gnarled vision of human complications. His paintings have been exhibited at galleries including Edingurgh's Scottish National Gallery, The Saatchi Gallery, and The Freud Museum. He is the owner of Cabin in Dubai. The cafe functions as an art gallery, Cafe and artist studio.
