About

After Paolo Uchello's set of three paints titled "The Battle of San Romano." Originally painted around 1438 to 1440. Uccello depicts events that took place at the Battle of San Romano between Florentine and Sienese forces in 1432. His series of painting is important in showing the development of linear perspective in the early Italian Renaissance. Each work was done in egg tempera on wooden panels and each is over 3 meters long. They are located today in the National Gallery, Gallery in Uffizi, and the Louvre. Painting after Uccello is framed in a thick black frame with a gold edge around the painting.
