Neutral-toned abstract contemporary mixed media collage by Houston, TX artist Scott Woodard. This painting depicts a variety of minimalist shapes around an image cut-out of Hera's statue, the Goddess of Marriage. The cut-outs are pasted on a plain white background. Signed and dated by the artist at the bottom right corner. Framed in a beautiful black and light silver frame.
Artist Biography
Scott Woodard is a local Houston, TX artist who has exhibited in a variety of Houston galleries since 2007. He was a regular at the annual Dia de los Muertos exhibit put on by the Lawndale Art Center through the mid to late 2000s. While his work had been focused on sepia tones, he has recently taken his art in a new direction exploring pastel surrealist landscapes.
