Beautiful portrait of a Japanese woman dressed in a white shirt and bright red pants (hakama). She is dressed as a miko, or shrine maiden, a type of priest who works at a Japanese Shinto shrine. Painted on silk, this delicate piece does have some tearing, but has been stabilized.
