Artist Biography
Juan Manuel Sanchez was born in Buenos Aires in 1930. He studies art with Alfonso Lafita and Vicente Puig. He was first exhibited in 1956 with Ricardo Carpani and Mario Mollari. In 1959 Sánchez, Carpani and Molinari founded the Espartaco Group. He has received many awards and mentions throughout his career. His work is exhibited in several countries and it is part of the permanent collection in different museums of the world. The artist lives in Vancouver, Canada and is married to painter Nora Patrich. He conducts workshops in both Canada and Argentina.
