"Listening" White, Orange, Blue, & Yellow Stoneware Jar with Figurative Elements 2021

Yeonsoo Kim was born in 1977 in Haenam, South Korea. He earned his BFA in ceramics and glass from Hongik University, located in Seoul, Korea, and his MFA in ceramics at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia, in Athens. He has held apprenticeships with Onggi masters in Jeolla-do (Hayngjong-Oh) and Gyeongsang-do (Jinkyu Huh) in Korea. Onggi is traditional earthenware in Korea that were commonly used as tableware and storage containers.
