Artist Biography

Robert Preusser was born in Houston, Texas. He began taking art lessons as a child, studying under artist Ola McNeil Davidson. By his teenage years, his work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally. He moved to Chicago to study at the Institute of Design. During World War II, Preusser painted camouflage with the Army’s 84th Engineer Camouflage Battalion. He moved to California after the war to complete his formal education at the Los Angeles Art Center School.
