Modern realist green and brown toned landscape painting by Haitian artist Felix Deournoy. The work features a group of children playing a stick and hoop game set against a rural village background of trees, fields, and thatch buildings. Signed by the artist in the front lower right corner. Currently hung in a light wood and gold frame.

Felix Defournoy was born on October 23, 1952, in Petion-Ville, Haiti. He studied art at the Foyer des Art Plastiques. "Heirs to Indigenist realism, Defournoy excludes all forms of idealism to express the truth alone," says Gerald Alexis in his book "Peintres Haitiens."
