Contemporary pop culture inspired painting by Houston, TX artist Clemente Garcia Lassaulx. The work is influenced by the classic science fiction franchise, Star Wars, and Diego Velázquez's iconic painting from 1656 titled "Las Meninas." Signed in front lower right corner by the artist. Currently hung in a black and gold floating frame.

Artist Biography

"My involvement in the art culture of Houston has led me to develop a new method of artistic expression combining a traditional academic style with a more unique personal language. My desire to create a more interesting language within my art has resulted in a number of semi-abstract pieces" Clemente works with a variety of different techniques and styles, including three dimensional objects. He has been teaching since 1988 and continues to do so in his Houston studio.
