Artist Biography
Pedro Lazcano was born in a village outside of Mexico City. Later moved to San Antonio, Texas where he attended Navarro School. During his career he worked for Pabst Engraving Company where he ran the printing press. He was good friends with Porfirio Salinas and they would go on sketching trips together. He started selling his paintings on the streets in San Antonio to businessmen and doctors. In the late 50s to 60’s he started to paint fulltime for the rest of his life. He mainly paints landscapes in an impressionist style.
