Artist Biography
William Bicknell was born in Winchester, Massachusetts in 1860. He studied under Otto Grundmann and Frederic Crowinshield at Boston Museum School of Fine Arts. He was a member of the Copley School, Province Area Artist, Winchester Area Artists, and Chicago Sesquicentennial Exhibition. His work was exhibited at St. Louis Expo in 1904. Some of his work is in permanent collections including Rochester Memorial Art Gallery, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, New York Public Library, and Art Institute of Chicago.
