Artist Biography

Ann Trask has taught art for 30 years while developing a career as an artist. She is retired from the University of Houston/Downtown where she had taught Art Appreciation and studio courses, and was Director of UHD’s O’Kane Gallery. She has a studio in Colorado and La Porte, Tx where she works in a wide variety of media, often addressing social issues. Her work is included in private collections across the U.S. She has exhibited in group and one-person shows and has won awards in national competitions for the past 30 years. Ann was an artist in residence at the Houston Center for Contemporary Crafts from March to June, 2006.
