Artist Biography
"My paintings are happy and full of colors that play well together. They show their colors with contrast and harmony. I transform objects and emotions into passages of color, shape and texture. My mediums, palette knives, chopsticks and sander create these special marks and textures. They serve to both mask and reveal the many hidden layers that make my paintings uniquely mine. They are applied sometimes timidly, gently “kissing” the surface of the painting, or with great force, digging and gouging into it. Each movement is a carefully orchestrated one. The many transparent layers that I apply intensify the hidden qualities of my work. My goal is not to tell you everything about the painting in five minutes or less, but to allow you to discover your own meaning of my work over time."
