Signed and dated by the artist at the bottom right. Framed and matted in a black frame.
Artist Biography
Zbigniew Lutomski was born in 1934 in Grodno. Polish graphic designer, painter, and teacher. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, where in 1960 he obtained a diploma. He is a professor at the Poznań and Cracow Academy of Fine Arts. He runs a woodcut workshop at both universities. It belongs to the XYLON International Woodcut Association. Long-time commissioner of the International Print Biennial and Triennial in Krakow. The artist practices artistic and functional graphics. He has several dozen individual exhibitions, he has participated in several hundred collective exhibitions of Polish art in the country and abroad. He is a laureate of many awards and distinctions, among others. at the National Graphic Competition in Łódź (1969.1973,1979.1981, 1987) at the International Graphic Biennale and Triennial in Krakow (1986.1991) and the National Competition J.Gielniak in Jelenia Góra (1979.1983). He won the Grand Prix and the 1st Prize at the Woodcut and Polish Linocut in Olsztyn (1991,1995, 1999) twice, and is the winner of the Mera Award at the Graphic Biennale in Tokyo.
