Sky blue surrealistic abstract painting by Houston, TX artist Henri Gadbois. This painting depicts a clear blue sky with a few clouds and a jet plane flying over it that spells the word "SKY." Signed and dated by the artist at the bottom right corner of the painting. Titled en verso on its stretcher bar and has a Dubose Gallery inventory label.

Artist Biography

Henri Gadbois is a second-generation Houston artist. Gadbois, a native Houstonian, graduated from Lamar High School and the University of Houston, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Letters Degree. Although his main interest has been in painting the Texas landscape, he is also interested in rug hooking, quilting, and ceramics. He spends as much time as possible with his artist wife, Leila McConnell, at their home in the Texas hill country in Ingram, Texas.
