Mixed media work that incorporates old letters that have been folded into pillow-like shapes with vintage portraits attached to them with wax, reminiscent of a wax seal on a letter. Each letter is delicately pinned onto a white back board. Signed, titled, and dated on the back. Currently hung in a complimentary black frame.

Elena Lopez-Poirot is a local Houston artist who has shown in a number of group shows throughout the city. Known for creating a sense of nostalgia in her work, she has created pieces on both a small and large scale that derive from childhood memories.
