About
White and brown western landscape painting by contemporary Houston artist Scott Woodard. The work features a Texas longhorn in a white landscape with a cow print extended onto the frame. There is a note on the back from the artist that the frame was saved from Hurricane Harvey in 2017. Signed and dated in front lower right corner and signed, titled, and dated on reverse. Currently hung in matching hand painted frame.
Artist Biography
Scott Woodard is a local Houston, Tx artist who has exhibited in a variety of Houston galleries since 2007. He was a regular at the annual Dia de los Muertos exhibit put on by the Lawndale Art Center through the mid to late 2000s. While his work had been focused on sepia tones, he has recently taken his art in a new direction exploring pastel surrealist landscapes.
