Realist self portrait painting by contemporary artist Matt Aston. The work features a close up depiction of Aston with a thick mustache in the style of the iconic portraits by the artist Chuck Close. This piece was produced for a show that Aston did of self portraits. Other pieces from this series are available. Currently unframed, but options are available.
Artist Biography
Matt Aston is a painter based in Los Angeles working in portraiture, set and stage design, as well as an educator. His works are painted in the style of Jackson Pollock and are heavily figurative. He bounces back and forth from realism and impressionism with works that often portray famous celebrities.
